Indiana Driver's License Requirements
Learner's Permit (Age 15+)
- • Pass vision screening
- • Pass knowledge test
- • Enrolled in driver's education
- • Parent/guardian consent if under 18
Probationary License (Age 16+)
- • Hold permit for 180 days
- • 50 hours supervised driving
- • 10 hours nighttime driving

Full License (Age 18/21+)

Note: Indiana requires all drivers under 18 to complete an approved driver's education course including 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor.
