Missouri Graduated Driver's License Requirements
Instruction Permit (Age 15+)
- • Pass knowledge test
- • Pass vision screening
- • Hold for 182 days minimum

Intermediate License (Age 16+)
- • 40 hours supervised driving
- • 10 hours nighttime driving
- • Complete driver education
- • Pass road skills test
Full License (Age 18+)
- • 12 months intermediate license
- • No traffic violations
- • No at-fault accidents
- • Full driving privileges
Note: Missouri requires all drivers under 18 to complete a state-approved driver education program to be eligible for an intermediate license at age 16. Without driver education, you must wait until age 18.
